Pre-RSVP

So, here they are. Our pre-rsvp's! They went out about a month ago or so now, after trying to figure out how to sort out numbers best, I was given this idea and just ran with it.

The majority of the guests won't be able to make it to Florida, which we are totally understanding of, but because of this we have to get numbers for the invites. As we're having a destination wedding, the invites and going to be like (not so) mini information packs. Including everything they need to know about the wedding, as well as events happening before, the day it self and Florida in general. Because of this, we didn't want to spend the money and effort on those when some of the guest list would be a "no" straight away. So far it's worked out well, and it's let me design the "air mail" invites I was looking forward to doing.

We went with the air mail theme, as it seemed very fitting. Designing everything our selves was fairly easy, with free downloads and photo editing sites. I added the name of the guests with mini luggage-esq tags I found on eBay, which with the string, bought it altogether really nicely. A little "Save the date" photograph of us, and a self addressed envelope, finished of the touches.

I hope you like them as much as we do?

Vintage Wedding Invite. Inspiration.

We all know I have a "thing" for wedding stationary, so getting new samples through the post is close to being like Christmas for me. Paper Themes are no doubt my go to wedding online store for anything wedding stationary, and it's because their designs are cute and fun as well as looking amazing.
I will soon be sharing our Save the Dates for Florida with you (I am rather chuffed with them!) but before that I wanted to show you some inspiration for invites, that we may use for the Wedding Party (the bit in the UK)

How you would go about picking a favorite, I just don't know! I always love the vintage style look of invites, and these are no different, some of them really bring in a fun and up to date vibe too. I love the wording and the graphics on them all, they really bring a smile to my face, and I don't know about you, but I'd really like to go to Sophie & Thomas' wedding.
The Old News Wedding Invite is close to being top for me, I just love the words of "to have and to hold" and "lets get this party started". I've always wanted our wedding to scream love (in a none sickly way) and fun, because that's what it's all about.
The record invite should be a must for any music lovers, or if music links you as a couple in anyway, I adore how the RSVP is the record- such a cool idea.

Have you picked our wedding stationary yet, or are you just in love with it all, like me?

Engagement Stationary. Invites

Engagement Party invites DIY design, printed by Vista Print.

When we decided on our engagement party, I was excited to get started on invites straight away. We ended up coming up with something really simple, but something that Sam and I worked on together and were really pleased with.
We used purple colours as that's our wedding colour, and simple designs and graphics including the bunting and banner.

We're now totally up for designing & getting ideas for invites and other wedding stationary...keep your eyes peeled as I'll be sure to share.

Wedding Planner Book

 Wedding Planner from Paper Themes*

Planning is such an exciting thing for me, I just feel happy and thrilled by it all. Not just my wedding, but everything in day to day life too. Having a good wedding planner to note everything down in, is a must, it's also pretty and an amazing memory to keep hold of.

This pretty wedding planner is just perfect, I love the graphics and fonts and the whole style with the ringed booked. It makes me want to fill it with all my ideas and plans, and with bits of fabric & notes.
Wedding planning can be hard work, and although I'm totally up for it, it can be a little daunting to keep up with everything. Having a wedding diary is the perfect way to record all the important information, or your inspiration and have it all in one place. This one has perfect pockets and departments to glue and keep, and keep hold of those little bits you're likely to lose. It covers the basics of everything wedding planning, and then everything in between.

You can buy this book online at Paper Themes for £19.99
